Great to meet up with Debbie from Jade’s Bag Charity to go shopping for desperately needed supplies for Preston Hospital Maternity Ward and to help out with Pyjamas for families in need in the Preston area. Debbie is a district nurse working throughout Preston and she and a group of friends set up Jade’s Bag Charity 2 years ago to remember her daughter Jade. Jade was very active in the local community and her mother and friends wanted to carry on her work in her memory.
Many mums don’t have the basics required when admitted to the maternity ward and Jade’s Bag Charity with the help of CWUHA are providing some essentials for mothers and their babies, this will include cellular blankets, baby wipes, nappies, baby hats, baby mitts, baby sleepsuits, nappy cream and other basic toiletries for mother and child.
Also Jades Bag are supplying 20 families throughout the Preston area with Christmas dinner bags and gift bags for the children. CWUHA are also donating 20 tubs of chocolates and 16 pairs of pyjamas to help this happen.
This is a wonderful local charity that the CWUHA are proud to support, well done to all involved at Jade’s Bag Charity.
