This year CWUHA agreed to sponsor the education of two children with the Excel Education Foundation ( E.E.F ) Moshi, Tanzania.
The charity pays for their school fees, uniforms, remedial classes, school supplies, educational tours, and annual comprehensive health insurance.

Brightness
Brightness is ten years old and is one of three children. She lives with her mother, 9 month old brother, and 12 year old sister. Her father has passed away. Her mother is currently supporting the family by doing door to door laundry, earning 9,000 Tsh per week (about 4 USD). The family faces the challenge of providing food, paying school fees, and procuring uniforms.
Her family lives in a home with no electricity or water. The family typically has two meals a day consisting of ugali and makande, a dish made with corn and beans.
Brightness’s favorite subjects are English, Swahili and Mathematics. She enjoys playing jump rope. It is her responsibility to fetch water, wash dishes, and study after school.
Brightness wants to be a nurse when she grows up.
Israfil
Israfil is 9 years old and is one of three children. He lives with his father, mother, and two sisters in a one room house with no water or electricity. Their rent is 25,000 Tsh per month (10 USD). His father is currently supporting the family by working at a small business earning 10,000 to 15,000 Tsh per week (about 4.50 to 6.50 USD). The family faces the challenge of providing food, paying school fees, and procuring uniforms.
The family typically has two meals a day consisting mainly of ugali.
Israfil’s favourite subjects are Science, Swahili and Mathematics. He enjoys playing Football. It is his responsibility to fetch water, wash clothes, and study after school.
Israfil wants to be a sailor when he grows up.
